Yo!

TGW is heading up to Ohio June-1-3 for a new event called Ohio Mudfest.  Here's the website, http://www.brushyforkentertainment.com.  There's not a ton of info up yet but they are working on it as we speak.  It's an old school mudding weekend, there's not going to be a ton a scheduled events to complicate things.  This is also the first event of it's kind at this location.  We're looking forward to a laid back party weekend where we'll actually be able to hang out a little more than we usually can.  If you have questions about it, please post them here and we'll try to get answers as quickly as possible.

It should be a fun laid back weekend.  I know there is a picture of Dennis on the page but to my knowledge he is not booked for the June 1st weekend.  I just didn't want there to be any confusion.

Holyshit! TGW event about 2 hrs from home! It would be so nice to roll out of Powerline Park one weekend and down I70 to this event the next!  Was this done on purpose or a hell of a coincidence? I didnt even know about this place, my family goes to the dirt track at Zanesville all the time!
What kind of event will this be Matt? Free run or organized racing event? Any idea what prices are? I didnt see anything on the venue site or on their facebook?

Also, on the brushy creek page, it has a link to Soggy Bottom in GA. The way it reads it is the same owners?

I'd really like to see some pics of the venue also.

Any more info you can post up would be a big help, Hell I gotta put in for more vacation.
Thanks,
DS

Yep, the guy that owns Soggy Bottom in South GA also owns this place.  Soggy Bottom has grown so much, and Troy has really come a long way fast.  That's why we decided to go up to this place and help him get it kicked off, we know he works his butt off, LOL.  Since this place is all new, it will be an open play weekend with a very laid back atmosphere.  We need to get the layout and the feel for it before we try to pull off anything "organized".

We'll have more info soon, as he'll be up there working on the place all this month.  I'll have times, prices, and all that within the next couple weeks.  As far as Powerline Park goes, I have no idea of their schedule so it's totally coincidental.  I know that we tried to not schedule the same time as the Jamboree too.

In my opinion, this trip on June 1st will be a fun, laid back, old school type mudhole weekend.  Personally I love those, and I hope some people come out and check the place out.  I have actually heard from quite a few people in that area about it so that seems to be a pretty good sign.

There was a good number of people talking about this event in MI this past weekend.  It's the first time at a new venue, which is always fun.  I have also heard about a new badass truck making it's debut at this one.

Just talked to Troy.  They are getting the work done of several new play areas and tracks including a bounty hole and hill n hole track.  There will be trails all over and several large play areas.  pricing for the weekend is as follows:

$40 any time Thursday or Friday, gates will open on Thursday for early birds
$30 any time on Saturday
$15 on Sunday (so you can watch everyone pulling out, LOL)
Kids 10 and under are free.

I'll continue to post more details as I get them.  I am told guys are working on this place from now until the event so if you're in the area, stop by and check it out.

I'd hope not, I don't think this place will fill up.  It's pretty good sized.

Everything from daily drivers to mega trucks. You can bring anything you want, but if your expecting a "USHRA MONSTER JAM" type show this ain't it!!! This is more of a run what you brung type of venue.Don't get me wrong there will be some huge 2.5 and 5 ton trucks there. It's this places first show so let's make it a good turn out so there will be more to come. This guy runs a top notch place here in Florida and he's hoping for the same up there in Ohio.  Support him and you'll have another venue to go play at.

You've never been to powerline park, they are just a little ways down the interstate and they fill up the better part of 1000 acres with all the campers, trucks, quads, bikes and whatever the hillbillys and rednecks can get loaded on a trailer.  Thats not even a TGW event! I think its gonna be full.  I like the idea of the free run format, it gets more people involved.

Yeah we've never made it to Powerline Park, but I've heard alot about it.  I spoke to guy in the tire store there a few years ago about coming up but nothing ever came of it.  Again, this date in Newark is all about having fun and trying to get a new place going.  If you're expecting a ton of structure and a rigid format, please don't, LOL.  We're going to have fun, let people play and show off, etc.  I do think there will be some competitions for the guys that want to do them, and I'll have more info as we get it.   If it's not entirely perfect, let's keep in mind this is a new place.  (That's my disclaimer, sometimes I have to do it, LOL)

Looking forward to fun people and a fun time!

Hey Matt, I met you in Georgia at the Soggy Bottom Mudd Pitt which was a blast, please let everyone know that there will be concesion stands will different kinds of food, and Troy will also be selling the orange flags for all the off road vehicles on site, I know that Troy will be putting on a first class event, and yes he has been working his tail off.  He will be opening the gates on Thursday at 2:00, for all early birds who wants to get a great spot camping or to just put up tents.  Hope to see you'll there.
