that sounds awesome, especially so centrally located in the state and not far off 75.  Sounds easy to get to for a whole lot of people.  Cudos for getting the special use permit, that is the largest part of the battle.  I will definately check it out.

Was out that way this past weekend,got some pictures.Not sure if this is the spot for the mudhole but if it aint then I hope its not AT the corner 44 and 475,'cause theres nothing there but a BIG DRY OPEN FIELD!!These pictures came from a spot about a mile north onto 475 when you turn from 44,large open area with NATURAL ponds/wet spots,not sure how they got permission...but I'm game!!

The pic you have here are not it that's across the street from me it it 1 mile back on 475 next to 44 first place you looked at that looked dried up

If you build it they will come.  The property its going to be on definatley isnt a dry field during the summer when the rain comes.

The pics that tombstone posted are a few miles away from the actual site it will be on.  The pics he posted are of a peat bog farm used for making potting soil.  Ask him, he knows it all.  The land he took pics of is leased.

langford650 is right.  The land was set aside for a housing development but it needed to much to backfill the natural wet ground during the rainy season.
