Ok any help with this would be great guys. I've been out of work too long because of this and have too many mouths replying on this truck for food for it to be down any longer.
It is a 2005 Ram 2500 with a cummins. About a week ago, I was leaving a jobsite, started the truck and it shut off pretty quick. The 3rd time I started it, I was able to drive about 20 miles to get home. The next morning, same issue. I started up but would shut off pretty quick. Then I realized I didn't hear the fuel pump. So today, I replaced the fuel pump and relay and checked the fuse which was good. I started it up, it ran for almost 2 minutes and shut off. I heard the fuel pump before that startup. Next time, I didn't hear it again. ...now I'm lost as to what is either not letting them work or is killing them. I can't afford another pump to just die on me again. All help is appreciated guys. Thanks.

could be a computer issue. I have a 99 so I doubt they're the same setup but can you hotwire the pump to see if it starts?
sorry that's about all the help can be.

I had replaced the relay with the old pump but but apparently you have to replace it after you change the pump. After I put the old relay (apparently still good) back in, it ran like a champ. Still confused how but not questioning it. Thx for the help though man.

Thanks man. I appreciate it. It cut out again while I was at work. After being confused as hell, I think the whole problem was a poorly connected wire under the fuse box cause when I found it and connected it right, it starTed right up. At least I got a new fuel pump outta the whole deal...lol

Lake Nona is the new Celebration, Exploding ,in the early 80's I helped a buddy of mine put a roof on a house out there. It was off Lake Mary Jane.  He sold before the area exploded.  Nice acre lots, expensive.  Good luck.

Ok, iM resurrecting this old post because the problem has returned. A mechanic found it to be a bad ground wire from the lift pump. He ran a new wire and it's been great ever since...til this week. Obviously the first thing I checked was the ground. It seems to be fine. My question now is, dwould there be a problem with me running the lift pump on a toggle switch? If so, does anyone who where to find a diagram to tell me which wire to jump into on the lift pump harness. Thanks guys.

Well, I went ahead and tried it anyway. I kept saying lift pump...not sure if that's correct but I meant the in tank sending unit. I put it on a toggle switch and it runs like a champ. No codes were thrown either but I I only ran it a few miles. Tomorrow to work will be a better test.
