Anyone ever try it? When I say dry crack I mean some small cracks and a few pretty good open ones at the lug. What I really am wondering is if I groove them where the open cracks are, will the lug start to just come off the caseing. I can put some pics up to show you what I'm working with.

I have grooved tires before, just not ones cracked this bad. I already have a grooving iron. Same one Spiker uses.

This is what I'm working with. These smaller cracks I'm not concerned with. Should be able to groove these no problem.

But these I'm not sure about.

I wouldn't do it. There going to tear easier if you cut them. Even know you usually don't even cut in front of the cleat it's already started

That's what I'm afraid of. If I start to groove them the lug will just peel off first run. I've had others tell me not to worry about it though. If I don't cut it, and just run it like it is, then what do yall think the chances are of it coming off anyways?

I would cut them, I don't think it's going to make a difference
