Road Trip
Ok, would the cab of this truck not make the coolest mud truck at the hole?

This was bought by a neighbor of mine and shipped to Windermere from California.  The body is straight and there's no rust on the cab other than a little surface patina.

My neighbor died rather suddenly last summer, and his daughter just now got everything through the probate process.  She's in Oregon, but the truck is in the back yard a few houses away from mine so I agreed to try to help her sell it.  I believe it a 1949 but she's looking it up to be sure.  She has the title.

Here's what I know for sure:

The truck has a straight 6 and low mileage, and it cranked up fine and ran around the neighborhood regularly until last spring.  It needed brake work, so it never really got driven at speed in the three or four years I've been around it but it ran well.

The batteries are now three years old and I can't get them to take a charge.  Trouble is, it is a six volt system or I would just scavenge a couple from other projects and get it going.

I would love to have it myself, but I don't have any more space or money for projects that may not get done.  So, give me a call if you're serious about seeing it.  She's asking $5K OBO and of course cash talks.  Thanks.  4O7-466-5-0ne-0ne-7.

It's way to nice to make a mud truck out of. It looks to be pretty complete and in good shape. Sell it to someone who's going to restore it.

That would be best, for sure.  Her Dad was a big International fan and he wanted to just take the pumper body off and use it as a car hauler.  I love the big fenders and the headlights, and the narrow cab.  She needs it gone though, because the house is now listed with a realtor and sooner or later it has to get out of the back yard.

Bump this up for one more try.  She really needs to move it;  Make offer.
The number in the first post isn't good anymore;  Call 4O7-876-29O-Two.
